The participation figures of Women in Logistics are not enough. ALICE, the European Technology Platform, has launched the “Women in Logistics” Community to act and change this trend by giving more visibility to Women in Logistics and creating efforts for all of us to work in this direction. Usyncro wants to support this initiative and get involve with full commitment. Our CEO Cristina Martín, will be lead this force team from the conviction in diversity and inclusion in organisations in order to exploit the women potential. The goal is to create a supportive community that encourages networking, mentoring, and sharing knowledge and experience, and to cultivate a more inclusive and diverse leadership structure within ALICE. “This is not a one-day effort, it is a 365-day job and a must for men, women and all types of organisations. We must stand together to achieve our goals and continue to improve diversity and inclusion and attract talent to the sector,” Martin said. The big objectives of “Women in Logistics” are:

  • Networking and Mentorship Opportunities:Establish a robust network of women logistics professionals to facilitate mentorship, sponsorship, and peer support, enabling members to share knowledge, experiences, and best practices.
  • Visibility and Recognition:Create webinars, workshops, and other initiatives that highlight the achievements of women in logistics, thereby increasing their visibility and inspiring others within the industry.
  • Leadership Representation:Strive to increase the representation of women in leadership positions within logistics, setting targets and developing clear pathways for advancement.
  • Knowledge Sharing:Create occasions as workshops, webinars to exchange on challenges, and opportunities for women in logistics, including case studies and success stories, to raise awareness and inform organisational strategies.

About our CEO Cristina Martín Lorenzo In her leadership role, Cristina Martín works to promote women in logistics innovation from full commitment as a member of the European ALICE alliance. In this topic, she has received numerous awards for entrepreneurship, including the ODS13 Inspiring Women Liders in the Digital Age award. She has been included on two occasions among the 100 most creative people in the business world and as one of the 23 Changemakers of Forbes magazine and has received the Air Cargo Innovation Award granted by Foro MADCargo and the Woman Evolution Awards, among others. She is also co-leader of the Industry and Logistics Forum of the Spanish Association of Female Executives and Board Members EJE&CON, a non-profit organisation that seeks cultural change through a commitment to the best non-gender and non-generational talent in Senior Management and Boards of Directors to achieve the sustainability of companies and a better society.
